Call for 4th annual Young Leader nominations at IHIF

BERLIN, Germany--The International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF), in conjunction with the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, is now calling for nominations for the fourth annual IHIF Young Leader Award. Each year, this prestigious award is given to a young hospitality leader who has made outstanding contribution(s) to the industry. The IHIF Young Leader award will be presented to the winner on Wednesday 7th March 2012 as part of the plenary session during IHIF at the InterContinental Hotel Berlin.
Previous winners include Amy Carter-James, Thin Cats Thinking; Roderick Micallef, Director of Finance and Acting General Manager, Corinthia Hotel, Lisbon and Leslie McGibbon, Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs, IHG.
“We’re thrilled to continue the tradition of recognizing young talent in the industry,” said Marilyn McHugh, Director of Global Hospitality Events and co-organiser of IHIF. “IHIF is proud to celebrate and award leaders under 35 for their contributions and very much look forward to reviewing the submissions early next year.”

They will set the standard for all young hospitality professionals and give them inspiration in their careers going forward.”
To be eligible for nomination, entrants for the IHIF Young Leader Award must be under 35 years of age, have worked in a hospitality-related field, have completed a significant project for his or her organization and be based in a European country.
