Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites Announce Domestic Makeover

A redesigned guest room

Choice Hotels has unveiled a new look for its domestic hotels in the chains Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites led by Gensler.

The design makeover for guestrooms, entrance and public areas features a more luxurious feel than is typically associated with mid-priced brands.

Hotel exteriors will feature warm and inviting lighting, contemporary glass doors and stone accents.

Lobbies will combine fireplaces, dark wood-style flooring and a stone backdrop with soft integrated lighting to convey the sense of a homey gathering place. The lobby will also feature an interactive touch screen to provide guests with information on local attractions, restaurants and weather, as well as business centers and free Wi-Fi.

Redesigned guest rooms will continue the theme with soothing neutral hues with jewel-tone accent colors and finishes.

The design, led by design firm Gensler, will roll out in phases starting early next year. The new look is scheduled for completion in late 2012.
