General Electric Capital Corporation in the sale of the Comfort Inn of Chattanooga, Tennessee to
Hitten Hospitality, Inc. This is the 4th asset that Mumford Company has sold on behalf of General
Electric and its' affiliated companies over the past year. This transaction, also, represents the 10th
hotel brokered by Mumford Company in 2010.
The purchasers are a local investment group based in Dayton, Tennessee that plan to
make renovations to the hotel and convert to an alternative brand affiliation.
The 57 room, 2 story interior corridor hotel sits in a well developed commercial and retail
area. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is minutes away as are numerous attractions
for outdoor enthusiasts.
David Mumford with the firms Newport News, Virginia office, and Steve Kirby and Burton
Brooks with Mumford Company’s Atlanta, Georgia office arranged the transaction.
