Community involvement

I often get press releases from various hotels around the country hosting events for local charities or reaching out to the community in different ways. How involved with the local community are you? What efforts do you make? Do you find this helps increase sales?

No question about it...community involvement does increase sales...we've seen it time and time again over the years. "How No-Cost PR Improves Sales" is one of my workshops. There are som any opportunities that hotel miss when it comes to PR. Maybe I'll do workshop on this for the upcoming 2009 Hotel World show.

An reply to HowardF because I saw his name in the community involvement section of the sales/marketing area. It is because community involvement is and should be part of serving and marketing to travelers/guests with disabilities.
