Yan Club opens at Kunlun Hotel

Interior design firm Bilkey Llinas Design (BLD) and Chinese hotelier Hai Yan have announced the opening of the Yan Club in Beijing’s Kunlun Hotel.

The designers recently renovated the Kunlun Hotel to a five-star property. Yan Club is situated in the former backyard garden of the property.

Entering The Yan Club has been said to “conjure the impression of venturing into a luxurious enchanted garden.” Among its features are more than 20 separate spaces of VIP rooms and lounge areas, ranging from intimate private lounges and semi-private booths, to al fresco garden terraces and open bar areas; organic shapes and patterns in conjunction with rough masonry finishes; untreated wooden plank walls with light troughs; and the crystal glass floating staircase that leads to a Chinese garden mosaic. Also available are traditional Chinese round-backed armchairs and Xi’an terracotta warriors mixed with European embossed and embroidered leather armchairs.
