Choice, City Point Capital building new Cambria in South Boston

Choice Hotels International, along with developer City Point Capital, began construction on the Cambria Hotel South Boston. Located at 6 West Broadway, the 159-room property is expected to open in 2019.

The Cambria Hotel South Boston is located outside of downtown Boston. The property sits directly across from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Red Line T station, providing access to all points in the city as well as Cambridge. The hotel is also near the Boston Convention Center, the Seaport District, restaurants, historical and cultural attractions and several corporations, such as Gillette, General Electric, Liberty Mutual and Wayfair.

"Boston is a city steeped in rich history and tradition, and the groundbreaking of the Cambria Hotel South Boston marks the beginning of our own legacy in the area. As the Cambria brand rapidly expands in popular urban markets across the country, Boston is a perfect addition to the portfolio, as it is home to a robust and growing business community as well as numerous entertainment options," Janis Cannon, SVP, upscale brands at Choice Hotels, said in a statement. "More importantly, we found the perfect teammate in City Point Capital to build this new upscale hotel designed for the modern traveler."

We look forward to providing guests with a distinct and upscale experience."
