Gino Castaño, David Lasker helm yacht-inspired Hotel Zoe San Francisco

Hotel Zoe Fisherman’s Wharf is scheduled to complete its $16 million overhaul this summer, reopening as the Hotel Zoe San Francisco. Gino Castaño and David Lasker, principals at locally based Paletteur, are spearheading the project.

Inspired by yachts found in ports throughout the Mediterranean, the renovated 221-room hotel will have a contemporary design with clean lines, a light color palette, and guestrooms with yacht-inspired furnishings.

The redesigned lobby, meanwhile, will have a restored Bar Zoe, while the hotel's event and meeting spaces will have new décor and fixtures.

The outdoor courtyard will have fireplaces and communal seating, as well as a sculpture from Shawn Man Roland.
