Dryers save energy and prevent heat loss

Pellerin Milnor manufactures large pass-through dryers ranging from 110 lbs (50 kg) to 550 lbs (250 kg), all with the innovative Energy Saver Seal between the dryer shell and perforated basket. This seal directs the air flow through the goods to save energy, while maintaining the short drying cycles and superior dry quality for which Milnor dryers are renowned.

Unlike the competition, Milnor’s Energy Saver Seal permits lower dryer temperatures due to the intelligent Air Flow Control. Because of the Energy Saver Seal, Milnor dryers can run on a significantly lower temperature, which extends the linen life and cuts operating costs.

Another energy saving design feature of Milnor’s dryers is that a lower heat temperature is needed to dry the goods. This translates into less utility costs, shorter drying cycles, and more efficiency in the drying process. Also, optional heat recirculation back into the next cycle will require less exhaust air and less demanded heat for the load. Field tests have proven that Pellerin Milnor Auto Energy Saver Package will save the customer up to 35% energy costs with: the Energy Saver Seal (20% utility reduction), 100% recirculation of exhaust heat (10% utility reduction), the standard air flow damper (5% utility reduction). Milnor dryers use this Energy Saver Seal and sophisticated software protocol to achieve the highest throughput dryers in the laundry industry.

The modulating gas valve controls the inlet temperature to safely heat the linen quickly and efficiently.

As the absorbed water in the goods is heated, sensors collect and transmit data to the microprocessor which automatically modulates the gas valve -- thereby controlling the inflow of energy and regulating the outlet air flow temperature. Milnor’s Energy Saver Seal insures that the outlet temperature is an accurate indication of the goods’ temperature.

As the water evaporates, the inlet temperature is reduced because less energy is needed.

Milnor’s “declare dry” software algorithm stops energy input at the customer’s desired goods moisture content level.

For over 60 years, Pellerin Milnor has manufactured quality laundry machinery with energy savings in mind. Contact us for more details about this energy efficient line of dryers, as well as other energy efficient laundry machinery.
