We all know now that real estate hastened the recession, but according to a story by The Atlantic Cities, not many have identified exactly what types of real estate sent the economy spiraling downward. University of Michigan professor Christopher Leinberger singles out the 19 types of easily financed real estate that proliferated in America and eventually led to a financial precipice.
