New restaurant in the works at Chicago Trump hotel

Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has announced the evolution of its Michelin two-star restaurant into a reimagined dining concept.

Scheduled to debut later this year, the restaurant will feature a new name, a transformed design, a vivacious atmosphere and a high-quality approach to approachable dining.

“We pride ourselves on providing unparalleled service and delivering above what our guests want and expect,” said Trump Chicago GM Gabriel Constantin. “With our soon-to-be-launched, completely new restaurant, we will be able to offer our guests a compelling and invigorating dining experience they will be able to enjoy more often.”

The restaurant, with a name yet to be revealed, will feature an a la carte menu of contemporary American cuisine with influences drawn from European and Asian cuisines.

Menu items will include a range of dishes from small plates and starters to large, shareable entrees.

Both the food and cocktail menus will incorporate house-grown ingredients from the culinary team’s 16th-floor terrace garden, which will expand its footprint even further this spring.

The inclusive, contemporary space will include a large dining room bar—a focal point for socializing and enjoying both classic and innovative cocktail creations. Dynamic seating options throughout the 100-seat dining room will offer high tops, tables and banquettes. The floors, furnishings and lighting will undergo a complete redesign, save the magnificent views overlooking the skyline, Chicago River and Lake Michigan.

Adding to the breadth of the team’s culinary domain, the restaurant will extend to the stunning 16th floor terrace, lending a 200-seat al fresco dining component during Chicago’s celebrated, warm weather months.

New concept build-out begins May 1. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and an a la carte weekend brunch. The 16th floor terrace will open for service this May with a transitional menu until the new concept is unveiled.
