San Francisco's Hotel Zephyr debuts 'The Camper' food truck

Hotel Zephyr, the boutique-style, art-filled waterfront hotel located in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, launched the K-OZ Camper in partnership with K-OZ Restaurant & Brewery. Known as “The Camper,” the classic, 18-foot Shasta sleeper has been refashioned as a food truck where guests can grab a healthful, locally sourced bite before heading out to explore San Francisco or when returning to the hotel after a day of sightseeing. The Camper is open to guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Located in The Yard, the hotel’s popular creative outdoor space, The Camper is a quick-serve food-and-beverage stop serving sustainable, locally sourced cuisine paired with craft beers and California wines. The menu has been customized by K-OZ for Hotel Zephyr, offering a wide range of items including seasonal fresh fruit salad in a coconut bowl; Caribbean shrimp with mango salsa and gluten free chocolate pistachio avocado cake. Additional items include gourmet coffee, lattes, mochas and freshly made pastries to sandwiches and salads. All items will have allergen indicators (e.g., gluten, peanuts, tree nuts and dairy) on the menu board.  Catering, private events and delivery to rooms will also be available to guests from The Camper.

The Yard is an 8,000-square-foot outdoor shared space where guests and San Franciscans can enjoy a life-sized Connect Four, four fire pits, unique art pieces and the new Camper. The Yard serves as an outdoor adjunct to the hotel’s 1,610-square-foot Game Room and introduces a lively and creative alternative to the traditional hotel lounge and common area for events and group activities.

The Yard is also home to “The Flames of Zephyr.” The hotel’s fire pits, located around The Yard, are lit every afternoon at 4 p.m., with a newly launched DJ playing on Wednesdays and Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests are welcomed to enjoy the games in The Yard, treats from The Camper and relaxing by the fire pits.
