Grand Hyatt DFW Announces $13 Million Renovation

16 May, 2011

The Grand Hyatt DFW is undergoing a $13 million renovation of its 298 guest rooms, meeting space and dining outlets (Moka and M Lounge), beginning May 15, with expectations of completion in September 2011.

The project focuses on creating a more residential feel within the guest rooms, as well as concentrating on energy management and integrated guest room automation.

The renovated guest rooms at Grand Hyatt FWT will include touches of granite, wood and leather; sleek, minimalist bedding; art pieces by Dallas-based photo artist Richard Bettinger; and recycling sorting bins. The rooms will be equipped with energy saving features such as an automatic window shade system and automatic in-room lighting, as well as bed-side touch screen panels that control A/C, lighting and window shades.

The new meeting space will include a contemporary color scheme and modern furnishings, with an additional ten-person boardroom. Moka, one of the dining outlets, will feature a grab-and-go, while M Lounge will have an addition of a small walk-up sushi bar.
