Best Western International has announced the opening of The Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort in Malaysia.

The 300-room hotel is situated in Port Dickson, which lies on Malaysia’s coastline, about 90 minutes from Kuala Lumpur.

The resort is spread across 23 secluded acres and boasts Malaysia’s largest manmade beach occupying the equivalent size of five Olympic-sized swimming pools.

A tropical lagoon-style swimming pool adorned with pirate ships, waterslides, waterfalls and whirlpools skirts the hotel.

Activities are offered for young and old including kids’ club, karaoke, bike hire, games room, fitness centre, steam room, massage services and an open-air theatre.

The resort features 16 multi-purpose function rooms and a Grand Prima Ballroom occupying 875 square metres.

Glenn de Souza, vice president of international operations Asia and the Middle East for Best Western International said, “With such an incredible array of facilities and its location close to Kuala Lumpur, Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort is the perfect destination for family getaways and corporate retreats.”

“The Malaysian hotel sector is currently booming, driven by the increasing spending power of Malaysian travelers, excellent transport links, and the quality of accommodation on offer. As the beach resort of choice for so many Malaysians, Port Dickson is at the very heart of this growth. We are confident the Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort will become one of our most popular Asian properties,” said Mr de Souza.

Best Western Prima Inland Sea Resort will be Best Western’s sixth property in Malaysia. In 2012, Best Western opened their first luxury Best Western Premier hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Another six Best Western properties are planned or in the pipeline for Malaysia in the near future.
