The 107-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Altoona, Iowa, is scheduled to open April 24, 2017. Located at 460 Bass Pro Drive NW, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Des Moines Altoona will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Heart of America Group of Moline, Ill.

Rates begin at $149 per night.

The hotel's room décor is designed to be flexible and functional, the guestroom includes a work area, ergonomic chair, task lighting and electrical outlets where guests need them. A curved, mobile desk enables guests to create their own work space, while also optimizing their television viewing.
