Texas DoubleTree reveals renovation, new director of sales

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities is opening the DoubleTree by Hilton DFW Arlington South in Arlington, Texas, after completing an update. Natalie Munlin was appointed director of sales for the property, which is located in the Entertainment District of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex at 1507 M. Watson Road in Arlington. The hotel is within a three-mile radius of the DFW Airport, Arlington Ball Park, Six Flags and the Dallas Cowboys stadium.

The DoubleTree by Hilton DFW Arlington South will reopen in early fall 2016 after completing a multimillion-dollar renovation that changed the hotel’s brand to the popular, upscale full service DoubleTree by Hilton. Jemel Jones will be the hotel's GM.

As the newly appointed director of sales, Munlin has responsibility for creating and implementing strategic marketing plans and achieving corporate objectives as they relate to group, transient and leisure business. She develops and manages sales and marketing operating budgets, oversees and evaluates market demand generators and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing goals.

With more than 15 years of experience, Munlin came to Hotel Equities from Pillar Hotel & Resorts where she led a team of sales associates in achieving corporate sales objectives, managing relationships and closing deals.  She began her hospitality career at the Loews Anatole Hotel, now the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.  After honing her sales skills for eight years, she worked in a series of sales positions of increasing responsibility in the metro Dallas area.

Munlin volunteered with her local Chamber of Commerce and other civic groups. After completing Leadership Southwest, she served on the organization’s Alumni Board of Directors. She enjoys traveling, reading, horseback riding and snorkeling. She and her husband live in Grand Prairie, Texas where they are the parents of two children.
