Two new Hiltons open in New York and Ohio

The Hilton Brooklyn New York and Hampton Inn by Hilton North Olmsted Cleveland Airport are now open to guests.

The Hilton Brooklyn New York is located at 140 Schermerhorn St. in Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill section, and is owned by Flank and managed by Urgo Hotels & Resorts. The 19-story, mixed-use commercial, retail and condominium development has 196 guestrooms and suites, and is accessible to the Barclays Center, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. In addition, the property is close to 12 different subway lines.

Chef Rob Newton will oversee the hotel’s restaurant, Black Walnut, as his fourth restaurant in Brooklyn. The property’s design aesthetic includes a rope motif paying tribute to the Schermerhorn rope factory that previously occupied the site in the 19th century. There are references to the site's history throughout the new-build hotel's interiors, which are the work of architecture and interior design firm Stonehill & Taylor. Among these references are carpeting patterned with rope imagery running the full length of corridors, and murals of vintage neighborhood maps lining the walls.

Additionally, there is 2,300 square feet of function space that can accommodate up to 140 attendees for meetings and social events. Other amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, business center, grab-and-go pantry and concierge service.

The Hampton Inn by Hilton North Olmsted Cleveland Airport opened in North Olmsted, Ohio. The 118-room hotel is managed by Riley Hotel Group. Each guestroom includes the brand's signature bed, LCD TV, refrigerator and coffeemaker. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing, 850 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate up to 50 people, an indoor pool and a fitness center. The new hotel also houses Treats, an F&B shop with snacks, toiletries, local merchandise and drinks for purchase.
