The owner of chain gaming tavern Dotty's acquired the historic Hacienda hotel-casino in Boulder City. Dotty's owner Nevada Restaurant Services confirmed the purchase from current Hacienda owners, Lakeview Company.

According to a publication on Boulder City, the property began its history as the Gold Strike Inn in 1958. In 1998, a fire destroyed the hotel, forcing owners to rebuild.

The property was renamed the Hacienda Hotel and Casino when it reopened. Dotty's owner Craig Estey touted the location's closeness to southern Nevada's attractions.

Estey also laid out preliminary plans for the property, including a modernizing and renovation of the Hacienda as well as the building of a new gas station and convenience store. Estey also noted a liquor and gaming licenses must be approved before the sale becomes final. He expects that to happen before the end of the year.
