London hoteliers forecast new booking trends in survey22 Nov, 2011
Approximately nine out of 10 London hoteliers believe customers will change they way they book their hotel next year, according to a HotStats Hotel Confidence Monitor survey published in London Loves Business. The article estimates that around 87 percent of hoteliers in the capital forecast customers will "adopt a new approach to booking hotel rooms," the report continues, with 29 percent expecting more bookings to be made directly through their hotel’s website.
More than 40 percent of London hoteliers believe hotel occupancy levels will rise in the fourth quarter of the year, compared to the previous three months, the survey found. The increase in demand for London hotel rooms is expected to drive up the the revenue per available room (RevPAR), with 77.4 per cent of the capital’s hotel managers expecting an increase in RevPAR in the fourth quarter.
