A joint-venture partnership recently began construction on the 120,000-square-foot, 151-room hotel.

The hotel has 147 guestrooms, a bar and elevators with photo booths and props. 

The property will have 43 guestrooms and is scheduled to open in December.

Shimizu Corporation and age co. designed the newly built 198-room hotel.

The brand currently has 75 hotels open or under construction. A further 50 hotels are in the development stages.

A 110-room hotel is on track to open in Detroit's Metropolitan Building in July 2018.

The full-service, 333-room hotel will be 12 stories and will have 16,500 square feet of meeting space and an 11,000-square-foot ballroom.

The $40-million project added a new Garden Wing and a 5,000-square-foot ballroom.

Texas Western Hospitality manages the hotel, which was was developed and is owned by Dallas-based Western International.
