Pan Pacific Hotels Group to Develop in Singapore

17 May, 2011

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced plans to open its flagship PARKROYAL hotel, PARKROYAL on Pickering, in Singapore in 2012.

The 363-room hotel, which will be centrally located near Singapore’s central business district, will be designed to meet the highest green building standards in Singapore, the company said.

Sustainable features at the hotel will include rainwater harvesting, automatic sensors to regulate energy and water usage and solar cells that will power landscape lighting. Greenery will also be employed throughout the hotel’s design concept via four-story-tall skygardens, covering an area of 161,459 square feet around the building’s façade.

In addition, design firm WOHA has been hired to create a hotel-in-a-garden concept and to incorporate sustainable features that will meet Singapore’s Green Mark Platinum score.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group currently owns and operates three other PARKROYAL properties in Singapore—PARKROYAL on Beach Road, PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road and PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Singapore.

The group recently opened three PARKROYAL properties in Australia, and has plans to debut the hotel brand in China in 2013 with PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Green City, Shanghai and PARKROYAL Taihu Resort, Suzhou in 2014.
