Lark Hotels reopened Blue, Inn on the Beach in Plum Island, Massachusetts. The 13-room property is located just north of Boston on an 11-mile coastal stretch of the state’s North Shore.
Rachel Reider, design director for Lark Hotels, led a full refresh of the property’s guestrooms and cottages prior to the reopening. The new look draws influence from the island’s beaches and small-town atmosphere, and a color palette including white, beige and blue. Select guestrooms have fireplaces, full kitchens, patios and private portions of the beach.
The 2,200-square-foot oceanview Blue suite has two bedrooms, a kitchen and a waterfront Jacuzzi hot tub. Located across the street, Blue’s one- and two-bedroom cottages are near the beach and the hotel’s second hot tub. An outdoor seating area and outdoor shower are also included.
