| Fast Food Four Seasons style: 15-minute room service |
With travelers constantly on-the-go, some hotels are catering to their fast-paced lifestyles by providing fast-food styled service for their guests, according to an article in USA Today.
The Four Seasons has 15-minute food services, or 20 minutes for the larger resorts; the Public Chicago Hotel offers to-go bags in 10 minutes when guests order by number; and at the Buttes Resort in Tempe, Ariz., a $10.95 Market Basket Lunch is guaranteed to arrive in 20 minutes or it’s free, according to the article.
The increasing popularity of “to-go” room service corresponds with the needs of travelers who are always on-the-go and don’t want to spend valuable time looking for something to eat.
"One of the greatest luxuries in the world is time," said Guy Rigby, a VP at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, in the article. "Gone are the days when room service is for people who want to sit with their little candle and flower and beautiful appetizer."
