Sheraton New York Hotel and Tower Unveils First Phase of Renovation

23 May, 2011

Newly Renovated Guest Room

Sheraton New York Hotel and Tower has unveiled the first phase of a $150 million renovation led by internationally renowned design firm Wilson Associates. Managing Director Margaret McMahon and Designers John Paul Anderson and Margarita Velez-Mantovani worked to produce a chic, modern design.

Wilson planned the new design to showcase the new, larger size of the guest rooms. A rich color palette, graphic patterns and clean lines give the new room a sophisticated, classic look with a modern touch that dovetails with the overall Sheraton brand’s new design scheme.

Sleek, low credenzas, wall-mounted flat panel televisions, mini-bar units built in to the wall and wired and wireless internet all contribute to a minimalist yet functional layout for the new rooms.

The Sheraton’s modern new look extends to the 44th floor Sheraton Club Lounge. With an amazing view over the city, the lounge will become a sophisticated, inviting and warm space with expanded seating capacity, five televisions, and an integrated business center.

The second phase of the renovation, which includes the remaining guests rooms, will begin in December and it is scheduled to finish in April 2012.
