Safemark will supply safes for all Fairmont properties
30 Sep, 2010 Hotel and Motel ManagementORLANDO, FL— Safemark Systems has signed an agreement with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to become the designated supplier of guestroom safes for the brand’s collection of luxury hotels worldwide.
John Foley, vice president of sales for Safemark explained that he was very pleased to be working with a well-known brand like Fairmont which will bolster the success and visibility of both companies. “We have worked hard over the last few years to fully develop our global distribution footprint, and we are now in a position to offer the same great service and support that our Americas-based customers have come to enjoy,” said Foley.
Safemark and Fairmont both met at HOTEC Middle East, one of several HOTEC meetings forums created for hotel owners, developers, operators and suppliers to discuss and finalize deals. “We give credit to the HOTEC team and organization for bringing our two companies together to finalize this agreement,” said Foley.
Fairmont's corporate director, Mubashar Shahab, insisted that Fairmont has a lengthy history of fostering long-term relationships with their suppliers and the recent pairing with Safemark would prove no differently. “While value and budget are important considerations, we also look at other key aspects such as global reach, reliability, quality and ethics during the vendor selection process," said Shahab.
The new guest room safes Safemark Systems will supply to Fairmont will meet or exceed the models that are currently in use, with the ability to accommodate 15-inch laptops and in some cases, 17-inch laptops. The new safes will also guarantee a standard audit trail that compiles the last 240 events including guest openings, closings, time outs, all management functions including emergency openings by key or EHO detailing the full name of the authorized user, as well as an audit of the management software that includes activity by all authorized personnel; this specific audit is unlimited and can be traced back to the first day of installation. As part of this new partnership, Safemark will also become the designated supplier of guest room safes for Fairmont’s global sister hotel brands, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.
