Travel Technology Israel conference set for June in Tel Aviv

InnoVel has set its third annual Travel Technology Israel conference for June 12 at the Habima theater in Tel Aviv. TTI, a conference in emerging technologies for the travel, tourism, and entertainment industries, has helped turn Israel into an international hub for travel technologies, the organizers said. The country, known as the startup nation, has tremendous creative potential and more than 300 travel tech startups, Innovel said.

“We conceived TTI as an event that would change the international travel tech landscape, and proudly managed to achieve that goal already in its first edition. It is our third year, and the conference just gets better,” InnoVel CEO Rom Hendler said in a statement.

InnoVel is bringing together an assembly of high-caliber industry executives to engage with Israeli startups and their unique emerging technologies. Participants will discuss the most important trends impacting innovation in travel, and benefit from unique networking, interactive learning, and sales opportunities. This year speakers will include executives from companies such as Accor, Expedia, Booking.com, Room Mate, Airbnb, Lufthansa systems, Skyscanner, Dan Hotels, KIWI, CTrip, HostelWorld and Highgate Hotels.

“In an era of so many travel conferences, TTI stood out for me as being clear on its objectives, positively informal and very well organized and delivered by Innovel,” said Kilian Maxwell, customer insight manager, Hostelworld. “I was delighted to participate and found it hugely beneficial...meeting so many startups in such a compressed time. I came away highly impressed with the Israeli tech ecosystem and the potential of its burgeoning online travel community.”

Travel Tech Israel is part of a larger endeavor to boost the emerging travel tech startup ecosystem, creating synergies and fostering innovation by connecting the best travel companies worldwide with the most promising and innovative startups.

Besides its flagship event in Tel Aviv, TTI presents conferences in the U.S. and Asia, and takes handpicked Israeli startups on road shows with the participation of key travel executives.

In addition to the June 12 conference, TTI includes activities from June 11-13 in Tel Aviv, as well as a boot camp held in Eilat on June 14. The June 14 boot camp is a collaboration between InnoVel and the Eilat Tech Hub.

The full schedule starts with an evening VIP networking event, followed by the full-day conference with hospitality panels and startup pitches, followed the final day of an “ecosystem immersion day.” That day is split into: a half-day of speed dating meetings for travel companies and travel startups and a half-day of visits and meetings with key leaders of the local tech ecosystem.

Registration is open at the event site www.tti2018.com.
