Tides Beach Club in Kennebunkport to open in May 2011

1 Mar, 2011

The Tides Beach Club is set to open May 2011 in Kennebunkport, Florida offering front-porch ocean views and exclusive access to  Goose Rocks Beach, a three-mile expanse of coastline.

Kennebunkport Resort Collection, who opened Hidden Pond in 2008, has completed a transformation of the Victorian grand dame hotel into a 21-room, beach-style resort while retaining many of the classic architectural elements of the 100-plus year-old property.

The Tides Beach Club will feature two suites furnished by the Jonathan Adler Company, each with ocean views and private decks.

The design focuses on contemporary décor highlighting crisp, natural tones of tan and white accented with pops of color to complement the surrounding seascape,

These special suites, Ocean and Sea, couple Adler’s kitschy design aesthetic within a classic, coastal New England experience. The guestroom color palette will include varying shades of blues and browns with accents in green and orange, as well as brightly upholstered headboards for each king bed.

Guests will also discover Peruvian wool textile pillows, bright white lamps silouetted against navy and white wallpaper as well as a selection of decorative pottery.

Dining at The Tides Beach Club will emphasize freshly-caught seafood and locally grown garden vegetables, complemented by The Tides bar which will feature specialty cocktails, New England artisanal beers and an extensive wine list.

The newly renovated resort will also feature Earth, a new restaurant in collaboration with Ken Oringer set to open this summer, a new tree house spa, pools, wellness center and various resort activities.
