Wyndham Hotel in South Portland undergoes $4M revamp

 The Wyndham Hotel in South Portland, Maine is undergoing a $3.7 million makeover as it is being transformed into a DoubleTree by Hilton.

The project includes upgrades to the dual circular towers of the building. The renovated towers will substitute bulk of its glass exterior with new textures and tones.

Work will also involve refurbishment of over 200 guestrooms of the hotel. The rooms will be equipped with new HDTVs measuring 37 inches, Sweet Dreams bed, window treatments, as well as HVAC heating and cooling systems. The revamped rooms will also feature new artistic renderings, and will offer Wi-Fi and Internet access.

The meeting space of the redesigned facility, including a grand ballroom and other smaller rooms, will cover more than 13,000 square feet. All the meeting rooms will comply by ADA norms. There will be a new Executive Lounge dedicated for Hilton Honor Members in the hotel following the facelift.

The fitness center will similarly receive an overhaul and will be fitted with new equipment, and a remodeled indoor swimming pool. In addition, the Blue Wave Grill will undergo improvement works.
