Agenda released for International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF)

The International Hotel Investment Forum 2016 is set to run March 7-9 at the Hotel InterContinental, Berlin. The Programme and speaker line-up for the Forum is now available to view.

The IHIF program is developed by the industry for the industry. Over the three-day conference, more than 180 speakers will take part in over 45 educational sessions, made up of keynote presentations, panel debates, interactive workshops and round-table discussions. A key feature of the IHIF program is the number of new topics with an emphasis on threats, challenges and disruption facing the industry. The focus on investment will also continue, and this year will include a specific panel on the rise of Asian investors into Europe and a look at their appetite for further investment.

Keynote presentations will be provided by Wired Magazine editor David Rowan, who will talk about technology & disruption; Stewart Room, partner and global head of cyber security and data protection at PwC Legal, who will discuss data theft and privacy; a professional hacker who will speak on cyber security and how companies need to manage this prevailing threat to their businesses; Helen Loughbrough, VP of global safety at InterContinental Hotels Group, who will speak on the ongoing threat of terrorism and how to provide a safe and secure environment in turbulent times; and Marek Reichman, chief creative officer and design director of Aston Martin Lagonda, who will provide insights into product and branding excellence from an outside view of the industry.

The global CEO session will address issues “ripped from the headlines” on current affairs and challenging issues and will include Geoff Ballotti, president & CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group; Chris Nassetta, president & CEO of Hilton Worldwide; Wolfgang Newmann, president & CEO of The Rezidor Hotel Group; and Richard Solomons, CEO & executive director of the InterContinental Hotels Group. A highlight for 2016 will be the IHIF Lifetime Achievement Award going to Dieter Muller, founder and CEO of Motel One.

New this year is the Networking Express – Meet the Project session, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet projects from around the world seeking investments or expertise. Attendees will be given an allocated amount of time to meet developers before moving on to the next project.
