Crestline Hotels & Resorts appointed Edward Hoganson EVP, CFO and chief investment officer. In his new role, Hoganson will lead Crestline’s business development and corporate treasury/finance teams and work closely with the company’s leadership group.

Hoganson, who spent eight years with the company between 2006 and 2014, returned to Crestline following a five-year stint at Hospitality Investors Trust, where he served as chief financial officer and treasurer.

“We are excited to welcome Ed back at this very pivotal time in our growth,” James Carroll, president/CEO of Crestline, said in a statement. “Ed will lead our team as we embark on an aggressive strategy to support the company’s recently announced $300 million investment fund targeting the acquisition of, and investment in, hotels throughout the U.S. and growing Crestline’s best-in-class management business.”

Hoganson began his career in hospitality at Marriott International, where he held various finance positions, including director of lodging finance. From there, he went on to work as VP of asset management at Highland Hospitality and then SVP of finance and acquisitions at Sunrise Senior Living.
