Carlson Rezidor is continuing to expand in Saudi Arabia, opening two more properties this week: the new-build 150-room Radisson Blu Resort Jizan and the 90-room conversion Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Dammam.
According to Hotelier Middle East, these are two of 25 hotels, with more than 4,900 rooms combined, that Carlson Rezidor has open or under development across the country.
Earlier this month, Carslon Rezidor signed the 452-room Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence Jeddah Gate, which is set to open in 2017.
In October, the company signed a long-term development agreement with Al Hokair Group in Saudi Arabia to develop and operate more than 30 properties across the Kingdom over the next 15-20 years.
"Saudi Arabia shows substantial growth potential for the hospitality industry, stimulated by rapid economic development and ambitious public investment in a host of associated sectors such as manufacturing, infrastructure and real estate," said Rezidor Hotel Group area vice president for the Middle East and sub-Saharan Africa Mark Willis.
