Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton signed a management agreement with Ryukyu Hotel Resort Naha to re-brand Hotel Nikko Naha Grand Castle and to manage the hotel as DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle. When the converted property opens in July 2016, it will be Hilton Worldwide's 13th hotel in Japan.
The 20-story DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle will have 333 rooms with panoramic views of the city. The hotel will have two restaurants, a lounge and a bar. DoubleTree by Hilton Naha Shuri Castle will also have 1,728 square meters (18,600 square feet) of meeting space, including a 568-square-meter (6,114-square-foot) ballroom and a chapel for weddings.
