Cicero's completes Wyndham Houston Hotel renovation

Cicero’s Development Corporation, a full-service renovations contractor, completed the interior stage of its multi-million dollar renovation of the Wyndham Houston - Medical Center Hotel and Suites.

Undertaken six months ago, the property-wide renovation is a complete revamp of the hotel's 287 guestrooms, as well as all common areas. It aimed to create a new experience for the visitors the hotel, including guests on extended stay in its more than 200 suites. In addition, the hotel's Main Street Bar & Grill received a refurbishing, complete with new carpeting and artwork.

Upon entering the hotel, guests will find modern tile work in the lobby, a more elegant front desk, and fresh wallpaper, carpeting, acoustic ceiling tiles and sconces in its corridors. Available in the suites are HD flat screen televisions, new furnishings, fixtures, linens and lighting. The list of room improvements include custom millwork panels that serve as closet doors, and modern artwork with lacquered black frames. Orange peel texture paint finishes were also applied to walls.

Located in the heart of Texas, with access to the Medical Center District, the Wyndham Houston was built in 1981 and last renovated in 2007. Final exterior work is scheduled for the spring, an upgrade that will showcase the hotel's urban setting.
