Shimu launched two coastal collections, Beijing Blue and Chinese Country.
With rugged surfaces and visible wide grains, the Chinese Country furniture collection is made from solid reclaimed elm wood, with the light color acting as a backdrop for nautical accessories. Meanwhile, the accessory items from the Beijing Blue collection were crafted by carpenters in Beijing, using reclaimed pine. The products have been distressed with a black and powder blue lacquer, leaving the natural wood beneath on show. This rustic finish resembles the rawness of driftwood.
