Strong shape: Mercury chandelier by Preciosa

Created by designer-sculptor Rony Plesl for Preciosa, Mercur has movable metal parts topped by Edison bulbs.

Created by designer-sculptor Rony Plesl for Preciosa, Mercury is a classic Theresian chandelier made of lacquered stainless steel and bronze.

The Mercury chandelier adds a modern twist to the original shape and technology of the traditional Maria Theresa chandelier design. Its fundamental structural aspects show an original interpretation, while the basic chandelier silhouette works as a “connecting link” between the past and the present.

Drawing inspiration from the male form, Mercury’s shape has arms that expand and retract topped by Edison bulbs. The arms can move horizontally and vertically, changing its shape and size as needed for different spaces and different moods.
