$20M Hotel 71 renovation completed

 Chicago’s Hotel 71 has marked the completion of a top-to-bottom $20 million upgrade that extended to the property’s lobby, guestrooms, fitness center and meeting spaces.

The lobby area has been overhauled to now feature a new business center located on the first floor directly behind the lobby.

Forty-nine new guestrooms, including 10 junior suites, now feature separate living and parlor rooms, soaking bathtubs, rainforest showers, fitness suites, 37-inch flat screen TVs, and iPod docking stations, among others.

For health enthusiasts, a fitness center on the 7th floor of the property features cardio equipment, circuit and free weights in a space overlooking the Chicago River.

Hoyt's, the dining destination located on the first level of the property, is the hotel's new signature restaurant. The American tavern features reimagined Midwestern comfort food, served in a 1,200-square-foot event space.

The renovation also included updates to Hotel 71's 39th floor penthouse ballroom.
