Accor announces expansion in Vietnam with ibis debut

Accor announced its expansion in Vietnam with the addition of three new hotels to its pipeline. With this, the new developments by the company in Vietnam will now number 16 new hotels to be opened by 2015. Accor currently operates 13 hotels in the country.

Earlier, Accor opened its first economy hotel in Vietnam, with ibis Saigon South rounding out the Group’s portfolio, which now ranges from luxury to economy. The property has 160 guestrooms with a wide range of amenities, including flat screen TVs and Wi-Fi Internet access. The hotel also offers 24-hour services, food and beverages at the OOPEN Restaurant, and a bar on the ground floor.

Accor has also signed three additional hotels in Danang to further expand its network in Vietnam.

Pullman Danang Beach Resort is a rebranded 186-room hotel located on Danang Beach with facilities that include four food and beverage outlets, a swimming pool and a variety of meeting/conference rooms. Ba Na Hills, member of the MGallery Collection, will be a newly built 90-room upscale hotel located in a French-inspired village atop and among the scenic Truong Son Mountains. Located in the same proximity will be Mercure Danang French Village Ba Na Hills, a 372-room hotel also with old-world, French touches in its décor and architecture.

With a total of 16 development commitments, Accor will add another 4,047 guestrooms to its Vietnam hotel network. Development commitments include: Pullman Danang Beach Resort (opening in Q3, 2012); Pullman Vung Tau (opening Q1, 2013); Pullman Saigon Centre (opening Q3, 2013); and Pullman Hai Phong Flamboyant Island Resort (opening Q4, 2015).

Also to be developed are: Ba Na Hills, member of the MGallery Collection (opening Q3, 2014); Novotel Saigon Centre (opening Q2, 2012); Novotel Danang Premier Han River (opening Q3, 2012); Novotel Dalat (opening in 2013); and Mercure Hanoi Hado (opening in 2013); Mercure Sam Son (opening in 2013); and Mercure Danang Son Tra Resort (opening in Q3, 2014).

Accor currently operates 13 hotels in Vietnam, including: Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, Sofitel Saigon Plaza, Hotel de l’Opera Hanoi, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc, La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa, Novotel Nha Trang, Novotel Ha Long Bay, Novotel Phan Thiet Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort, Mercure Danang, Mercure Hanoi la Gare, Hanoi Horison Hotel and ibis Saigon South.
