California-based design firm AF Canta created the concepts for the renovations.
The 52-room Majestic Hotel is at the East Lakeview neighborhood, near to Wrigley Field, the downtown area, and the attractions on Broadway, Halsted and Clark Streets. The re-designed lobby includes sparkling Art Deco crystal chandeliers, new furnishings, a wall-length vintage photograph of Wrigley Field on stretched canvas and a fireplace. The hotel's guestrooms and suites now use a color scheme with neutral tones, new linens and window coverings, velvet throws, new carpeting and wooden furniture. A renovated meetings and event space can accommodate up to 25 guests.
The 55-room Willows Hotel, a landmark building that was a regular haunt of Al Capone, is a Parisian-inspired property in the Lincoln Park area, located near the shops and restaurants on Clark and Diversey, and only two blocks from Lake Michigan. The highlight of the redesigned lobby is a fireplace, surrounded by communal gathering tables, rustic French country light fixtures and marble flooring. The redecorated guestrooms and suites include new furniture, carpeting, bed linens and walls painted in a gray hue.
The 45-room City Suites Chicago is located on Belmont Avenue, near the nightlife, theaters and restaurants in the Boystown and Wrigleyville areas of Lakeview. The lobby is highlighted by neutral décor, a corridor lined with natural wood beams, a fireplace and black and white photography. The redecorated guestrooms and suites offer the ambiance of a Chicago apartment and include mid-Century modern touches with light fixtures, black and white linens, new furniture and carpeting. City Suites Chicago is a two-minute walk to the Brown, Purple and Red Lines at the Belmont CTA stop.
