Aloft Yancheng opens in China

Aloft Hotels, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, opened the Aloft Yancheng in Jiangsu Province of eastern China. Owned by Yancheng Powerlong Real Estate Development, the hotel is the first international hospitality brand in this metropolis and the seventh Aloft hotel in China.

Aloft Yancheng is located near the city's main downtown area, its new business district and major transportation hubs. The hotel is also close to travel destinations, including Dazong Scenic Lake, the Nine-Dragon Scenic Region, various coastal plains and two nature reserves.

As Jiangsu Province's second largest city by population, Yancheng serves as a major regional business hub. The city is home to the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Chengnan New District, among other business initiatives. The city was recently designated by the provincial government as a key recipient for foreign direct investment in the Jiangsu Coastal Area, and recently added member of the Yangtze Delta Economic Zone.

The hotel has 299 guestrooms and 4,090 square feet of meeting space. The guestrooms at Aloft Yancheng have loft-inspired spaces, complete with high ceilings with oversized windows, and signature beds, spa-inspired showers with amenities by Bliss Spa products. Each room also combines high-tech office and entertainment equipment with complimentary wireless Internet access; and plug & play, a one-stop connectivity solution for multiple electronic gadgetry all linked to a 42 inch LED TV.

Other amenities include 3,767 square feet of event space with Internet access and AV equipment; Re:fuel by Aloft, the 24/7 pantry for self-service food and beverages; Nook, the hotel's signature restaurant that serves international cuisine; Re:charge fitness center; and Splash, the indoor swimming pool. In addition, the hotel also has the signature W XYZSM bar.

Starwood's Aloft brand now has 75 hotels in 14 countries.
