Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa opens in Thailand

Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa opened as the latest hideaway in Phuket, Thailand. Situated on the northwest coast of Phuket, the resort nestles the Layan Beach at the far end of Bang Tao Bay, only 20 minutes away from Phuket International Airport.

Anantara's second Phuket resort offers nine different room types across 77 suites and villas on 1,300 feet of secluded beach, including a two bedroom Family Pool Villa, two two-bedroom Pool Villas and a 5,221-square-foot Anantara Pool Villa. With direct beach access, a private pool and outdoor areas of more than 2,153 square feet, the Anantara Pool Villa can accommodate up to six adults.

The property boasts contemporary interiors featuring local accents in every room, and all the comforts from home. Key features include an iPod docking station and an Apple television. A custom stocked wine cabinet and in-room bar, a Nespresso machine, tea facilities, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and a selection of books for leisure reading complete the accommodation.

The 47 villas each have a private pool and villas are attended by a personal Villa Host 24 hours a day.

For dining, available are Sala Layan, the all-day dining restaurant; Deeplee signature restaurant, offering authentic Thai cuisine; the adjacent cliff edge Infinity Bar; and the Breeze pool bar.

Recreation and leisure facilities include water sports, bicycles, a fitness center, group and private yoga classes, a boutique and gift shop, and a library with a range of books and films as well as iPads.

The resort also has a Chang (Thai for elephant) Children's Club for younger guests of 12 and under.

Anantara Phuket Layan also has a cliff edge open chapel.

Meanwhile, the Anantara Spa comprises of seven treatment suites and manicure and pedicure studios.

In addition to the hotel, a high end residential project is under development on an adjacent hillside with panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. Anantara Residences Phuket Layan will consist of 16 units ranging from two to five bedrooms.
