Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort & Spa opens in China

Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort & Spa opened in Xishuangbanna in China’s Yunnan Province. The resort is the first and only five star hotel and pool villa destination experience in these parts of China.

Anantara Xishuangbanna Resort & Spa is located one hour from Jinghong International Airport through countryside. It is set within gardens and water features, and comprises 80 deluxe guestrooms, as well as 23 one-, two- and three-bedroom pool villas.

The resorts offeres visits to the many ethnic tribes in the area, such as a tea picking journey with China’s last minority group to be recognized - the Jinuo tribe. The destination is also home to one of the largest tropical gardens in the world, Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, which is spread over 2,000 acres, with 35 different garden habitats containing a total of over 10,000 species of tropical plants.

The venue has Dining by Design and in-villa dining concepts. There is an outdoor swimming pool set amid extensive landscaping, a fitness center open 24 hours a day, and eight treatment suites at Anantara Spa. Also, there is a kids’ club, a teen’s center, and a chill out zone and entertainment center. For business and events, available is a diversity of fully-equipped venues, in the form of a function room for up to 100 people, which is dividable to cater for two smaller events, an additional two meeting rooms and a boardroom.
