Areen Hospitality designs interiors of Hilton Freetown Cape Sierra

London-based design practice Areen Hospitality is designing and fitting out the interiors of the 200-key Hilton Freetown Cape Sierra, including executive and presidential suites, an infinity pool, two restaurants and a business center. The property, which was originally slated to open in 2014, is now scheduled to open before year-end 2016.

Excavations have been completed and the main structure of this 12-story hotel is now rising.

Areen's design narrative uses the local heritage, with the furniture and fittings responding to the surrounding landscape and natural beauty of the country. There will be a double height hotel reception, contained within a 3D sculptural wall.

The space will also have a bespoke chandelier made of diamond-shaped elements cast in resin. The chandelier's shape will complement the laser cut marble pattern of the floor. There will also be a lounge where guests can enjoy coastal views.
