Banyan Tree to open first Cassia property in Phuket in October

Banyan Tree Group launched a new brand, Cassia, with the first Cassia property opening in October in Phuket, Thailand.

Cassia Phuket will be a combination of hotel and serviced apartments. Located within the group's integrated resort Laguna Phuket, Cassia Phuket will have 221 residences with one- and two-bedroom apartments, each with a separate living room and kitchen. Many residences will have a loft hang-out area with views of the lagoon, ocean or park.

Cassia Phuket will have Wi-Fi connectivity, two pools, a private area at Bang Tao Beach, spa, mini-mart and touch-screen concierge.

Cassia Phuket will be located within Laguna Phuket, Asia's first integrated resort in Bang Tao Bay. It will open with 221 hotel residences, expanding to 326 residences as part of a second tower added by 2017. Facilities will include Chill Chill Spa, kids play room, infinity swimming pool, Market 23 and Street Bar. The fitness center and meeting space will open in 2017.
