BBA Design Consultants facilitates Magnolia Hotel & Spa refurbishment

The Magnolia Hotel & Spa in Victoria, British Columbia is undergoing renovations, with the upgrade focused on the property’s guestrooms and the addition of a brand new restaurant concept.

Vancouver-based BBA Design Consultants worked with the hotel owners and management team to facilitate the refurbishment. Previous hotel design projects of the designer include The Wickaninnish Inn and Black Rock Oceanfront Resort.

The 64 guestrooms of The Magnolia Hotel & Spa have each been fully refurbished, with the introduction of a lighter color palate of taupe, smoke and pearl. Plush textures and elegant patterns adorn the carpet, drapes, bed cover and upholstered lounge chairs, surrounded by silk-inspired vinyl walls.

In addition to a new color palate and furnishings, the guestroom walls will be adorned with a collection of photography by BC artists, Linzy Arnott, Gary Woodburn and Rob Destrubé. These pieces are displayed on feature walls, showcasing close up views of some of the city’s attractions, including Craigdarroch Castle and the parliament buildings.

Next up for The Magnolia Hotel & Spa, Tom Ferris of Ferris’ Oyster Bar & Grill will open a new restaurant concept within the hotel’s lobby; and Catalano Restaurant & Cicchetti Bar will bring a Mediterranean-inspired eatery to Victoria’s Inner Harbour.
