Best Western International opens in Myanmar

Best Western International became the first US hotel company to establish a presence in Myanmar.

The six-month-old Green Hill Hotel, which features 189 light, contemporary rooms and suites, will now be operated by Best Western International under its midscale Best Western brand.

The Green Hill Hotel is located in the Tamwe Township area of central Yangon, a 15 minutes' drive from the landmark Shwedagon Pagoda. The hotel has in total 189 air-conditioned rooms, with all of them featuring 32-inch flat-screen televisions with international satellite channels, bathrooms with bathtubs and showers and property-wide complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity.

A contemporary restaurant serves a selection of Chinese, Asian and international cuisines. The property similarly offers meeting room facilities for business travelers, as well as for events and gatherings.

The launch of Best Western International’s first hotel in Myanmar means the company now has a presence in nine of the 10 countries that form the ASEAN region. Best Western International is planning to announce further developments in Myanmar in the near future.
