Boston Marriott Burlington completes final phase of renovation

Boston Marriott Burlington completed an 18-month renovation. Now open to guests, the project’s final phase brings major improvements to the hotel’s meeting space and function rooms, as well as the fitness and pool areas that now have new exercise equipment, design updates and improvements to the fitness areas and locker rooms. The hotel’s indoor and outdoor pool areas were also upgraded.

A key focal point of the renovation is the Greatroom, a Marriott initiative that re-imagines the traditional lobby. This space has a fireplace, 14-person communal table, and U-shaped bar. The Greatroom also offers amenities that allow guests to work or play on their own terms, including complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, plug-in charging stations, and media pod areas for meetings. In addition, there is a new “Market” gift shop.

Renovations to the hotel’s events spaces included the introduction of three private meeting rooms, called Ignite, Inspire and Imagine. The hotel’s existing meeting spaces, including the 9,000-square-foot Celebrate Ballroom, benefitted from technological enhancements and revitalized design. The 419-room hotel now has 14,570 square feet of meeting and banquet space.

New flooring, wall coverings and ceilings were installed at the hotel’s two main workout spaces. New equipment was also installed throughout the renovated space. In the Cardio Room, new Life Fitness stationary bicycles, treadmills, and elliptical machines were equipped with individual high-definition monitors that allow guests to access personalized workout regimens or enjoy television programming. New equipment in the remodeled Weigh Room—including Life Fitness weight machines, a kettle bell station, and a TRX Suspension Training station—accommodates a range of workout routines and fitness levels.

As part of the renovations, the year-round indoor pool and sauna and seasonal outdoor pool areas were resurfaced and the pool flooring was re-tiled. New ceilings and freshly painted walls now bring a bright new feel to the indoor pool and whirlpool sauna areas. A new deck area now also surrounds the heated outdoor pool.
