Bradenton, Fla.'s 'Pink Palace' to become a Hampton hotel

The Bradenton Herald reports that the Bradenton City Council has approved in concept a deal with developers to restore the former Manatee River Hotel, known locally as the 'Pink Palace.' The council directed its attorney to draw up a formal development agreement with Syracuse, N.Y.-based The Widewaters Group, Inc., with hopes to transform the 1920s-era hotel into a Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel.
