Capitol Hill Hotel completes renovation

The 153 rooms at the Capitol Hill Hotel at 200 C St. SE are now fully renovated, marking the end of a two-year renovation at the property.

The hotel is owned by Philadelphia-based Independent Collection, which operates boutique hotels in several cities on the East Coast, including the Graham Georgetown, which recently finished a renovation of its own. Independent did not disclose the cost of the renovation. The hotel remained open during the work.

The room renovation included all new bedding, new furniture, modernization of the bathrooms and the kitchenettes in every room and incorporation of "Federalist chic" design.

The room upgrades follow renovation of the lobby and meeting spaces in 2012 and the addition of "The Library," a private flex space. Since that time, the hotel also added a business center and a new fitness room.
