Carlson Rezidor announces two hotels in Saudi Arabia

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced two new hotels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Park Inn by Radisson Riyadh Olaya, offering 168 rooms, will open in the first quarter of 2014, while the Radisson Blu Resort Jizan, with 160 rooms, will welcome the first guests in the first quarter of 2015. Both properties are joint projects between Carlson Rezidor as the operator and the Saudi Arabian Al Hokair Group as the owner. The existing hotel in Riyadh will undergo a renovation program.

The mid-market Park Inn by Radisson Riyadh Olaya is located in the heart of the Kingdom’s capital, between the main King Fahed and Olaya Roads. It is approximately 21 miles south of King Khaled International Airport, Saudi Arabia's largest air facility. The hotel is near major offices, ministries and landmarks, as well as the retail and commercial district of Olaya. Aside from 164 rooms including 50 suites, the property has 3,660 square feet of bar and restaurant facilities, 7,535 square feet of meeting space and 3,229 square feet of wellness and gym area.

The upscale Radisson Blu Resort Jizan is Carlson Rezidor’s first project in Jizan, one of KSA’s major shipping ports on the Red Sea. The full service hotel will be located on the Jizan Waterfront, off the Makkah and Corniche Roads Roundabout. It will be only 1.8 miles away from the city center and five kilometers from Jizan’s regional airport. The area surrounding the hotel and the entire city are witnessing major developments, including an oil refinery development spear-headed by Aramco, KSA’s national oil and gas company. The Radisson Blu Resort Jizan will include 150 rooms, a 2,691-square-foot restaurant, a 1,076-square-foot lobby cafe, almost 32,292 square feet of meeting and event facilities including two ballrooms and wellness facilities with an outdoor pool.
