Circle of beauty: Escape-S lamp by LZF

LZF launched the Escape-S lamp by Irish designer Ray Power. Made up of a ring of self-supporting, rectangular wooden panels, the lamp resembles a circle of falling dominos. The wooden panels are made using Polywood, a patented, chemical-free manufacturing process that makes the wood veneer flexible, thereby allowing LZF to create the 3D designs. Polywood is available in a choice of 11 colors. In addition, the wood used to make all of LZF’s lamps is sourced from FSC certified forests.

Founded in 1994, LZF has been making handmade lights exclusively out of wood veneer. This material projects the internal beauty of the wood and radiates a warm atmosphere to both domestic and contract settings. LZF won two Good Design, two Design Plus and one Red Dot prize.
