Coastal Hotels restores Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Wash.

Coastal Hotels completed the restoration of seaside resort Semiahmoo Resort, Golf and Spa, located on Semiahmoo Bay and Drayton Harbor in Blaine, Wash.

Surrounded by pools and estuaries that provide a sanctuary for Pacific Northwest wildlife, the 212 guestrooms were inspired by the sea. A nod to the seaside location can be found throughout the property, from the blue carpets to the yellow décor. The new grand porte-cochere also has new yellow exterior, as well as the driveway created from locally collected shells.

The lobby and general areas have Net Effect, an eco-friendly carpet that supports fishing villages in the Philippines by repurposing discarded fishing nets collected by locals into carpet tiles. The resort also installed Tesla and a Sun Country Highway charging stations.
